firebim
Based on the complex and varied fire safety regulations in Europe, FireBIM aims to create a harmonized, open-source BIM (Building Information Modeling) platform. This initiative will streamline fire safety assessments and compliance from the early design phase, promote safer building designs and improve international cooperation.
Challenges
- International cooperation with Danish, Swedish, Portuguese, Dutch and Belgian partners.
- Inventory and standardization of European fire standards.
- Development of BIM applications for verification and validation of compliance.
