Within a BIM project, it is of utmost importance to unambiguously define the information standards at the element level and per project phase. This applies both to the geometric requirements (read level of detailing), and to the
information associated with the object in the form of properties and parameters and/or external documents or data associated with the object. (e.g., a technical data sheet).

Until now, these requirements are often captured via files. A rather manual process. BIMids offers a solution to request and track this in a standardized and interactive way via a cloud application.
On the front end, the application looks like a simple website. But the backend includes thorough integration with a range of cloud applications. For example, property definition is
driven from BIMQ (https://www.bimq.de/en/ ).
The result is a complex data model and associated workflow for updates, accessed through a simple user interface.
